| Perfect for the job I bought mine because I thought it would be perfect for my job and I was right. I drive clients often in my E320W, a 1995. The clients are free to focus on what we're doing rather than dealing with discomfort of any kind in the car. They can see very well from the passenger seats (they aren't sitting at the bottom of a bucket). I also needed elegant cargo and storage space. I also wanted a car I could pay cash for, could get reliable repair work from specialists, and that would potentially go from 100 all the way up to 400k miles. I've found out since that my gas mileage is awesome compared (27!) and that everyone else thinks my car (which I thought of as grandma's merc) is a cool looking classic Merc. I got used to her looks, but others often say she is a knockout so I have to step back and take a fresh look.
Scary though; I realized later on that my father (d.1980) never owned a truck- only station wagons!
There really was no other car on the market that I could see purchasing for what I needed. |
