it just took me 3 months t get mine t pass.. to start, because its a 96 mb used a lot of stuff from 95 to put the car together.. the cars run beautiful but the two computers cannot communicate properly so they don't know what's going on.. the emissions center will have to do a throttle test where they test for hc and co at idle and at driving rpms.....good luck....................... ................................
luckily I bought mine from a dealership and they had to fix it to pass emissions to get it registered. what they replaced was: both maf's, timing gear, timing chain, syncronized the throttle bodies, a couple of vacuum hoses, two O2 sensors. plus I had a C service performed on the car.. and it just barely passed......
Hopefully your car is mechanically sounds and serviced regularly because if you don't keep up with them more things go bad and snowball.. good luck and if u have any ?s about emissions feel free to pm me..
