But why??? Is it just me, or does this cheapen the MB SUV line? I've had the X3 as a loaner when our X5 was in the shop, and it felt very basic to me. It has poor handling, slow pickup, and very few features. IMO, it's not representative of the BMW badge, and really shouldn't be in the same category as the X5. Thank God they're coming out with the X7 to save their credibility!!
I understand in Europe MB and BMW make vehicles that are taxi cab basic to 100% luxury, but here in the US, we associate both names with high end vehicles. These low end models, to me, cheapen the name of both. Afterall, you can get a full size Buick, Saturn, Ford or GMC for less than what this thing will cost, and they'll have 10 times more features.
