| I agree with you on that. It is like piracy in a way. But I think it would be illegal if he were to charge the other guy for the info. But if he offers it for free, then it is between them. When you sign up with CarFax for one year, I believe that you can get as many reports as you want on as many cars as you want. I don't believe it says that the user must be the buyer of the vehicle. But, yes, someone must pay for the service. Personally, I would not ask anyone to run a CarFax for me.
