| KBB helps, but unfortunately seems a bit high most of the time. You can watch the newspaper, especially one in a larger market, unfortunately, you only get to see asking prices & not actual sales prices.
A real test, if you have a week or two, is to watch a few similiar examples on e-bay & see what they sell for. You may dismayed to see that only maybe half will sell in a given 5-10 day period. Also, some may sell low or not at all as potential buyers have pulled a carfax & not been interested in buying after viewing.
