hey i didnt screw up the car install dammit! its work in progress!

and yes, i'm an audiophile, to put it into benz terms... my home audio setup is like a C63 AMG, which obviously means, its the best-cheapest option. On descent audio, people can spend $10-15k easy.

Component amplifiers are much better than integrated ones, for the most part at least. That is, having a separate preamp, and poweramp is better than having everything in one box. I'm looking at about $8k to upgrade my setup, (going Rotel components, straight from Japan), so i'm holding off on that as much as i can.

The grills for the car are a little complicated. I bought some quarter cut circular pieces and tried to make a frame, but the rear deck has a lip at the end, so the frame does not sit properly on it. So i'm scrapping the picture frame grill idea. Instead, i'm gonna cover the factory grill with cloth and wrap it over the baffle.

Those speakers were too big to put into the pods, If i wanted to cut it, i would need to remove quite a bit of plastic, and it would probably break, or vibrate. And i'm not going to use silicon sealant on my speakers. The cut out diameter is 13.8 cm
