I had experience that the filter is very difficult to be inserted fully at the last quarter inch or so. But I know that when I torque the whole assembly onto the engine, the filter will be pushed into the correct position. |
That is exactly what the lines are for. If you have a little trouble sliding the new filter in to place. you can always try rubbing some fresh oil on the hole with your finger before sliding the filter into the canister lid. It will help the filter slide into place. Use a good amount of oil.
