GPS

Santa delivered a Garmin nuvi 250 GPS and I am considering the best method and location to mount it.
THe MB GPS location is the best - so I tried mounting the suction cup on an old CD which is then inserted only half way into the CD slot. this mounts easily, but the CD player wants to load the CD - even though there is already a real CD in the slot.
I have also tried the suction cup directly on the radio screen as another possibility, and I will also consider using sticky backed velcro strips fastened inside the glove box and extending outside the closed glove box to mount the GPS.
So far, the direct approach ( fastened to the radio glass front ) seems to work best.
I would rather not reinvent the wheel, so if someone has already found an elegantly simple solution that works well, please share your thoughts and experience. Thanks.
