The ADT-VA133 kit is the best money spent. You won't be dissapointed. On my 2000 the AVIC goes direct to the Bose Amp via the stock wiring. Yours being optical poses a bit more difficulty. Looks like you're taking the best path deleting the bose amp and substituting your own thus eliminating the proprietary optical connections. That should be pretty straight forward. The bose woofer will probably work fine with your new amp although it may sound like ass. After all it's really(barely) a woofer and not a sub. I like your idea of using a Bazooka instead. I'm considering the very same sub solution. Good luck with your install!
