I saw that silver star transmissions had some rebuilts for that price range. The more I think about it I'd rather go that route than used. It doesn't seem worth it to ship the core back to them. From some posts I've seen they rarely find a transmission good enough to refund the $300 - $500 core return charge. But before I go that route I am going to try the Lucas transmission additive. Thanks for the input.
