Plan you parking facing up hill or drive through spot facing out . I think a junk yard tranny is 600 - $800 .A rebuilt unit NO core return $1300 -$1500 depending on shipping. |
I saw that silver star transmissions had some rebuilts for that price range. The more I think about it I'd rather go that route than used. It doesn't seem worth it to ship the core back to them. From some posts I've seen they rarely find a transmission good enough to refund the $300 - $500 core return charge. But before I go that route I am going to try the Lucas transmission additive. Thanks for the input.
