this might be a bit extreme but what if you were to create a "port" right above the driver headlamp in the hood of the 2.6 kind of like a ram air effect.....i dno how that would work entirely.

I've seen some people do like a vent in the fender, im told some 190D's had them.

I agree the 2.6 is quite limited in the area up there, they really shoe-horned the engine in there.

Perhaps with some serious modification one could install duct work so that the air is drawn up from behind the bumper on the driver side. Either cut through the sheet metal or somehow run it underneath the intake manifold.
