Although it's a beautiful SL and in as new condition I look at it another way.
That car is IMO unloved, a little sad and too good to use.
At 900kms on the odo it has almost no fantastic holidays, day trips or experiences with a partner in the passenger seat that our SL's have in droves. It will also probably be sold to someone who will continue to keep it in a sterile storage condition or drive it very little and so it will have missed the point of being created.
If it was Australian delivered [RHD] and I could afford it, I don't know if I could drive it like I do with my own SL. It should at least sit in a MB dealers showroom and be seen.
Not locked away.
