How to repair the AC system

Assuming this works, attached are 5 of 15 files that contains PDF pages from the offical MB workshop on how to:

Replace the compressor
Replace the dryer
Replace the expansion valve

Also included are oil capacities when replacing all components or individual parts such as just the expansion valve.

I will forward the other PDF's in two other messages.

This works for any W210 chassis - mine was a E430 2000 year model.

I used these instructions recently to repair my A/C system that required these three parts above. Note that it says to remove the fan when removing the compressor. It is possible to slide the belt out around the fan without removing the fan itself.

The reason there are so many PDF's is becuase some of the MB instructions call out other instructions that have their own document. Basically you can change out any of these three parts in any order - just follow the logic in the MB instructions.

good luck
