Took my E320 in for its last check up before the warranty expired. Techs found the car needed lower control arms in the front!! Car only has 56000 miles. I found this to be unusual.
However, it was under warranty
and the fixed it after they ordered the parts. Gave me a R350 with 18000 miles as a loaner!!
Still, I'm wondering if I should purchase a warranty with AAA or my insurance company. The service guy told me the arms would have cost me 1700.00 for out of warranty service. My dash display was 1200.00 just for the part. thats almost 3000.00 inside of a year, minus regular maintenance not covered. If anything else breaks, it could pay for itself. or not.
