I only have an inspection done after reviewing the pictures and documentation available.
If all looks good then basically I'm committed based on the results of the MB dealer service department inspection report.
There are independent inspectors/appraisers, etc. that can perform a similar function.
Better to spend a little up front and know if it's worth spending a much larger amount.
No different then a home inspection after you contract to purchase a house.
