| This problem can be caused by overfilling the tank (trickling more fuel in after auto-shutoff by the pump). In this case you are forcing fuel into the charcoal canister, possibly destroying it and causing a smell. NEVER overfill the tank, there is a big warning inside the fuel flap. |
