Handy,

The problem with the cruise control amplifier isn't visable from any outside connection. The problem is inside the unit. If you know your way around circuit boards and know how to solder, take the unit apart and re-solder all the connection points on the board. Other than that, purchase a new unit and they are on the pricey side. You can also just keep a steady foot. My coupe is the easiest car I've ever owned to keep at a steady speed.
