REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions in the beginning of this section.
2. Relieve the fuel system pressure.
3. Remove or disconnect the following:
4. Negative battery cable
Relieve the pressure in the fuel tank by opening, then tightening the filler cap.
5. Left rear wheel
6. Plastic inner fender liner
NOTE: The fuel lines must not be kinked.

7. Fuel pipes from the fuel filter, by compressing the locking catches
8. Breather hose from the filter assembly
9. Filter securing clip
10. Filter/pressure regulator
To install:

Install or connect the following:
New fuel filter/pressure regulator into the housing and tighten the securing clip to 27 inch lbs. (3 Nm)
Breather hose to the filter assembly
Fuel lines to the filter assembly
Plastic inner fender liner
Left rear wheel and tighten the lug bolts to 110 ft. lbs. (150 Nm)
Negative battery cable
Read fault memory, encode the radio and normalize the power windows.
Start the vehicle and check for leaks.

This procedure is used by Mercedes, but you will need a floor jack and jack stand to support the vehicle.

If you don't have one then you have to remove the rear seat.
