2) My glovebox already holds the 7 CD cartidge. So where would a connector go?
3) I've got COMAND, and there is no AUX button to press. Maybe something else? I have a choice of Tel, Nav. FM/AM, TV, CD, Sys. |
I don't think 2004 models have this, mine is 2005. But for anyone else.....
1. You need to pull back the black plastic strip on the door sill that runs parallel with the seat and is only visible with the door open. There is a cable track under this with a white connector for the Aux Input of the Audio 20. You need to remove the plastic panel the the front of this ( one screw and a few clips , this is easily broken so take care ), to allow the cable to run up to the glovebox. The end panel off the glovebox unclips and there is a circle that pops out to allow the MP3 connector to be fitted. This was originally a factory option so all the hard work has been done for you.
2. The mp3 connection terminates on the opposite side of the CD holder, so it does not have to be disturbed.
3. I assume a 2005 model with COMAND will have the Aux option. The fact that yours does not is probably because it is a 2004 and is simply not available.
