It's pretty dry here in the winter and we don't get tons of snow, I just need something that's great on ice and pretty good chewing through the snow. Thanks.

Hi Anthony and Jeff,
I immediately ordered the steel wheels and winter rubber from the stealer when I received my B in Dec. 2005. They asked me to take possession of the car early because a large blizzard was coming in.( a common situation at lac Hughes) The winters are Michelin Pilot Alpin(great but not cheap). There are great winters out there and the technology is evolving all the time. If you're not driving crazy, I would recommend Yokahama's(better value). I think the winter MB hubcaps will only fit MB steel rims because of the way they grasp the steel rims.(a fine spring steel wire wraps around the whole rim and snuggly grips at many locations.
On slippery roads, the ESP works fantastic and you feel it and see it in the dash when wheelslip occurs. The traction control pulled me out of a ditch when towing would normally be needed but remember it's not AWD or 4WD.
Cheers, Derek
