| I did not read these links carefully but to me it looked like the BMW is a lot better than the MB if you do a lot of tweaking yourself? It isn't too bad if the system was more open than the MB one, to allow personalisation, specifically adding own POI data. Still I would assume most car owners using their navi as it comes from the factory and not having the time and interest to make it what they prefer.
I have not seen the W221 navi modified, the data seems encrypted unlike the BMW one and nobody has indicated being able to break the protection. |
