| I had a neighbor (eccentric as hell) who bought a pair of new 300D's in 85. He NEVER washed them; they didn't look too bad 15 years later as they just looked beige instead of white.
Have a current neighbor with a 2000 E320. I remarked on his clean car recently but commented the wheels didn't look very clean. Found out he had just had it in for its ANNUAL wash & the wheels would not get any cleaner. Car is garaged but he's driven it 105k. Yuk!!!
