Stick w/ the drop in K&N filter -dont wanna mess w/ the intake due to the O2 sensor on the tube (advice from MBZ mechanic Uncle)
Ditto: u take $$ hit upfront but it beats dishing $20 - $30 for paper filters every year or so
Noise: I bought the car used & had this cheap paper filter in it -I placed the K&N and noticed a louder growl in higher RPM's
Calculated just a 1-2 MPG better than paper filter -higher during hwy driving @ 3-5MPG
