I said that because of the polish used on my benz when I bought it. NuFinish. they claim to be the "once a year car polish" and since I only do mine when the seasons change(3-4 times a year) so I picked them again when I did my last polish which was in December2006. 6 months after I bought it (July2006). AND I've been washing it with ajax the whole time and this polish has held up to it's claim. now it was time to do it again with my latest pictures to show that ajax, in my opinion, did not burn off all the protection of the NuFinish product. if anything, with the heat in texas, it cooked that polish on pretty good so when I washed it, it still keep a good shine.

And there is my gripe! Ajax is pretty strong stuff to use on waxed paint AND IT WILL compromise the wax. Then after that you go on about how tough clearcoat is and how it doesn't need wax protection yada yada yada. Now on this thread you say you must wax 1-4 times a year for protection. So i'll say it again "What the hell are you talking about?". You are contradicting yourself, thats all I'm saying lol |
I was debating with AmericanPie really over how many times he details his as opposed to what I would do. I only do mine 3-4 times a year. you are correct. but AmericanPie does something like 3 times a month or something like that. which I thought was a bit excessive.. but it's just an opinion. and opinions are like assholes, right? right.
