I got a Canadian issue ML and when you actually turn on the headlights the radio panel backsdown about 40%. The confusion comes because the headlights are 'always' on (DRL's are mandated there)....and when it turns dark you're left wondering why the G.D. radio panel is kicking out full blast. Driving back from Toronto I had to put a paper napkin over it because I hadn't the time to read the manual. It's become a reminder to 'turn on the headlights'...or maybe I don't have to? I should check to see if the taillights are also DRL's. I think they're a good idea anyway... Answer: cardboard or paper napkins.
