| Sounds like a dirt/scratch issue all right. I got all of my Bosch/Navteq NAV CDs from people on eBay, and I never recieved a bad one. They shouldn't cost you very much, like $25, and once you get another one, you'll know if you have to clean the "laser lens" or whatever it's called that reads the disk. Good Luck!
