This is from a new review on the 2009 Mercedes CLK-Class from TopSpeed. It has info on the expected features of the new model line, as well as history and competitors it may have. Also available is a picture gallery.

Here's the whole review: 2009 Mercedes CLK-Class - Top Speed
From reviewing a number of spy sites it seems more likely the model year 2009 CLK will be introduced at the Geneva show in March 2008, as was done with the new C-class, on which the CLK is based. Whether this is just the coupe, with the cabriolet to follow months later I can't glean from the writings to date. All signs point to the cab having a soft top, which doesn't bother me here in California. Having a soft top doesn't seem to bother Jaguar, Aston Martin, Bentley, Ferrari, or Porsche either.
