| Plastic pre Filter
Hello, I just installed a Mercedessource set of kits in a 84 300SD the heater in the trunk (spare tire well) has a plastic preheater installed on it from MercedesSource right after the heater, however this heater is only set to 110 degrees. The front unit also has a clear plastic heater installed on it as well and that heater is set to 150 degrees. I have 1500 miles on the install so far and they have not melted or warped in any way. I do not know what Kent meant by that comment as his kits come with those pre filters. The Kits are great, I have had problems with the switches 3 have died in some way or other and 1 Pollak valve has leaked. The instructions were ify at the time I do not know if he has revised them as yet.
