I bought around 5 feet of 5/16 inch clear plastic tubing from a local auto store. Then I shoved a funnel (really hard) down into it. Basically, as advised elsewhere, we filled until it overflowed. Then I just re-installed the plug and the job was done.

Well that will work too.
I took a look at the oil I drained and it looks like there i very fine sand in it. If that is the case I guess that it is coming from the road and that maybe the seal is not in as good a shape as they should be.
Also, if it sand I beleive that it should be just as good to change the oil tomorrow again. It is a matter of getting the sand flushed out and the sooner it is done the better. With about $4 per quart for the Dexron I would rather do it a couple of times instead of waiting 1200-1500 miles.
