its actually very easy.. i worked on several ml's doing bodywork.. and to access the bumper you have to remove the headlights, and remove the license plates (hex).. the long thin black plastic grill (held by clips), than any bolts you see holding it down should be same as the ones used to hold the headlights .. there are two bolts where you access from the head light area and it requires a extension for the 3/8' socket.. if u are stuck let me know.. there is a temperature sensor that you ahve to unplug when you remove the bumper... its between the middle and right side of the bumper.. just remove any bolts you see holding the bumper in place! and do the reverse to assemble it back.. should take less than 1/2 hour to remove
