That explains a lot ;-) I was thinking of stripping mine and getting it ready for paint. It doesn't need much work - it's straight and rust-free. It's got hardly any dings on the bodywork, just a couple of bumper scuffs. Wouldn't need much prep (I'm not good at filling and sanding - takies me ages to get the right result) - just matting and degreasing. Shame I don't have access to a bodyshop that would just let me do all the prep and charge just for painting. I'd be tempted to replace the bonnet with the newer one - like on your car.
I'm about 30 miles from London, Herts/Beds borders and it's not snowing here yet (I'm stuck at home with flu so I'm getting really frustrated).
So what business are you in now?
