| Cheers! Good to hear that my habits are not killing the box.. But it appears that none of you seem to be using the 3 and 2 gears to keep the gear and hence the revs up in the corners.. This, I do very often, as I live quite near to my favourite stretch of road!
I'm not so sure as regards to the adaptation bit. AFAIK the gearbox is mechanical, i.e. pneumatically controlled somehow.. Whereas the gearboxes that adapts are electronically controlled. I have driven my mother's cars and they sure do adapt (LOL).. It is obvious because after some hard thrashing the car would want to keep the revs up and it would shift down when you depress the pedal ever so slightly..
Anyway, cheers for the replies. Great to hear that I'm not alone!
