I also have dealed with this topic and I found out one good solution.
Tire has sensor to communicate tire warning system in the vehicle and this sensor has battery. Battery will be survive for a long time, but in case battery out, we have to change the sensor itself. So I think if you get original sensros and put them into your AMG wheels, then it should be go out.

In addition, as a result of looking TPMS supplier for W164, I found out the supplier of this sensors. I will get 4 sensors with air valve which will fit for those sensors. (Sensor is fixed by air valve on the wheels)

I believe this should work and warning lamp will be disappear becuase my new wheel is also for orignal W164 wheels (17 -> 19 inch)

I hope this would be help, becuase TPMS supplier for '06 SL600 should be exactly same as my ML350. (Valve on type)
