| W124 230e Identification
I am looking at what I think is a '88 230E.
Now I have checked the VIN de-coder here and it is not telling me much!
As I am in Australia I want to check this car out as it appears to be an import from the UK.
It's specification differs from the normal Australian delivery cars, ie no ABS or cruise, and is fitted with the British speedo in MPH.
I don't want to pay too much for it as it is not fitted with an ADR plate (Design rules compliance plate) and cannot be sold/re-registered outside my state!
It has also done 162000 miles, but is in quite reasonable condition.
The VIN code is WDB1240232A191191
