| Very Early 250S Air Filter Query
Have just purchased a very early 250S 108, 1965 build, Feb 1966 registered in incredibly original condition - garaged last 41 years with a genuine 104 000 km on the dial! Averaged 250 km a month!
Miraculously this car has no rust whatsoever. It is my first ever Mercedes and I now have a German mistress!!
My question - did this motor run an oil bath type oil filter. There is no paper element as per owner's manual and the filter box itself looks slightly different. Have put in a small amount of oil and she seems to run happily.
Also interested to know how many early 250s cars are about, especially in RHD form and link up with some other owners.
