I was running search patterns on Goggle and found her in of all places, a Chrysler/Jeep dealership in Cleveland. The car had been donated to the Crawford Car Collection in Cleveland where it sat for a number of years. They auctioned it in a fundraiser and the car dealer bought it there and used it as a advertising piece in his showroom. It needed a lot of mechanical work but it was a very rare old Benz with 742 built from 1936 to 41. I found later it was built in the Sindelfingen Plant along with all the very low number production cars including the 500s. This was the custom in-house shop of Daimler Benz. |
