Spring and Pad removal - Front

Got me new spring comps in mail today Had to have a play.

Great to use, wonder why I didnt get them a years ago, $180 on Ebay plus $33 post to Oz. Got an oxygen (lambda) sensor socket too $12)

Use all safety precautions you need etc etc.

I had to take off my suit as very dusty work this

1. Loosen wheel bolts 17mm padded socket
2. Jack up under sill
3. Remove bolts and wheel
4. Put 2nd jack under lower arm to take tension off shock.
5. Remove lower shock bolt 16mm
6. Place a jack under opp sill to save having to remove sway bar (allows even droop)
7. Insert spring compressor plates
8. Fit and align centre shaft
9. Tighten centre bolt and check plates aligned correctly
10. Fully tighten until spring loose in seat as required.
11. Carefully remove spring and/or pad as required. (see the 4 pips, no4 pad)
12. Refit and Check top pad and bottom spring seat alignment in recesses.
13. Loosen centre bolt until comes loose and remove shaft.
14. Remove plates.
15. Refit shock lower bolt
16. Replace wheel.
17. Nip up wheel bolts in the air.
18. Spin wheel and check for bearing noise./ Check for bearing play
19. Remove opp side jack
20. Remove jack under lower control arm.
21. Lower main jack under sill
22. Retighten wheel bolts (check all 4 wheels)
23. Drive up driveway and back to settle and check all is ok.
24. This is how I check and adj camber.
Front 88.7 degrees (1.3 neg) Rear 89.3 degrees (.7 neg)
25. Lip to ground measurements 646mm front, 660mm rear
