I've seen the one on eBay installed in a car. It doesn't look great, but it's not too bad when closed either. The color matched the interior on the one I saw, and it looked kind of like a dealer installed, non-factory accessory. If you have to have a cupholder, that's one possibility.

I've been considering making a two cup holder for the center console, but I haven't actually done anything yet. It seems like it would be possible to make something that is usable with the armrest up that would look reasonably decent. I'll have to see what I can come up with.
