| Retrofit for PSE Module
As you may know, water leaks and corroding pins are a common problem with early model SLKs.
I had a faulty PSE when I bought my SLK used from a local Mercedes dealer and it was in the deal to get it repaired. They replaced the PSE module....but never fixed the harness and in a mater of weeks after the first fall rain, I had a leak and a failed PSE again. After a lot of searching I found that Mercedes makes a retrofit kit which turns the PSE upside down and puts a loop in the wiring harness that pretty much eliminates failed PSE pumps and corroded pins. I would strongly encourage you to get this retrofit kit installed when you get your repairs done, otherwise you maybe going back again and again for the same problem as it is a design flaw with the car....
