I put a 2.5" X-pipe on my 2000 E55 also, but , my set-up is slightly different then yours. First, my X-pipe is a true X-pipe (not that yours is bad).....it has a true crossover path instead of two pipes connecting in parallel. (I don't even know which is better) I also had my post cats removed.

Let’s just say that it is boarder line too loud now that I remove the resonator. Do I feel a difference? Does a bear sh*t in the woods?
