 Engine/Transmission Swap: '76 300D...any thoughts?
recently my buddies and i have purchased a 1976 300D as a restoration project.
the idea of an engine swap has come up, and we were thinking of using a cummins 5.9L straight 6 motor and an automatic transmission out of a dodge ram 2500 in place of the NA inline 5.
any thoughts on the idea? maybe a different engine/transmission combination.
any thoughts, ideas, etc are appreciated. |
