| McCain would be stronger as a Vice-President than a President. At a certain level, the intangibles become more important than the issues (otherwise Kerry or Gore may have stood a better chance, and we'd have never elected Clinton).
Say what you will about Bush, he's a pretty likeable guy when he's not consumed by the business of running a nation. Clinton was a very likeable guy even when he was running a nation.
I've never met the man, but I know someone who knows 43 personally and has for some time. I trust his judgement of people to be above reproach. George W. Bush is a good man, and is exceptionally adept at building personal relationships. Neither McCain, nor Kerry, nor Gore, nor Cheney are that kind of person. Giuliani on the other hand, is definitely that kind of guy. |
