| I have just had the same thing happen (yesterday - 300km from home and in pouring rain). Your problem (like mine) is probably a worn out bush in the wiper arm linkage, and one of the arms has become disconnected.
For your reference two photos follow. In the second, you can see the lower arm that in my case has come off. Im hoping the bushes are available!.
