| Hi--The problem is unlikely to be the idle air valve. It is normal for the little plastic cross tube to have one end closed. MB found that the open tube made it too hard for the valve to keep the idle speed down and so closed it. Just the way it is. If the car is starting it probably has enough air. You could disconnect the idle air valve (2-pole connector) which should have the effect of making it idle at about 1300 rpm. If it is starting but dying, it sounds like the cold start valve is getting gas but there is a problem with fuel delivery to the injectors. Get the manual on CD's, cheap from MB now, and read up on the system. Charlie |
