No, you shouldn’t need a V60 phone, the Bluetooth adapter and the Razr should work fine. You may also need version coding and maybe software update for the Audio Gateway (AGW) at the dealer. I have the MB phone installation instructions for 2003-2004 E Class if you want, let me know. |
Just a question: Why would the compensator be needed if the intention is only to use the BT puck? I understand that a complete set needs this to enable a cradle connection. Also Steve has mentioned that the compensator can be left out even for the basic installation (done that for retrofit installations). I can imagine this can have marginal loss for 1900 MHz operation but no real loss for 850 MHz, if you just bypass the compensator.
