I'm sure I read somewhere that if you are attacked by a large dog the best thing to try to do is grab it's front legs and pull them apart.Allegedly they are weak in that plane and the rib cage will fracture.
My ma+pa had a gardener who told me of this German Shepherd (dog) who would persistantly run up to harass him when he called at the owner's house.He says one day he was so pissed at the routine that he punched it as hard as he could between the eyes.Apparently it ran off and never went near him again.Bullshit??
