Another moral of the story is, never to take your car to a chain tire outlets like Firestone, discount, Big-O, it's not their fault, even if they are extremely careful with your wheels they will scuff it up, it is their tools that scatch it, take it to a specialize wheel shop. I paid double to have mine tires mounted and balance but it's worth it. | I agree 100%. I've had the same problem with Costco. They have great prices on their tires, but the savings are wiped out when they nick your wheels. In the past, I asked them if they felt comfortable mounting wheels that cost $1K to $2K each and they told me "no problem." When I had tires replaced on one of my beater cars, they nicked a couple of wheels. Enough said. The extra cost of going to a shop that deals in high-performance vehicles is worth it. That's not to say that they won't nick your wheels on a bad day, but I think the odds are less. [;)]
