86 190e 2.3 fuel delivery problems

When I bought this car a couple of weeks ago the AFM was rigged open. I replaced the AFM with a used unit with no luck. I've since replaced the fuel distributer, and idle valve (both had been beaten on by the previous owner) with used units. I also put in a used coolant temp sensor. The fuel pressure regulator looks to have been recently replace with a new unit. If i disconnect the fuel line and turn the igition on, fuel pumps into a catch can at a decent rate, but I have no way of checking the pressure. The vehicle has a half tank of gas. I've removed and cleaned all of the injectores with compressed air.

If I poor fuel into the AFM/throttlebody, the car will fire up, and idle well until the supplimental fuel runs out. Sometimes I can keep it running by massaging the pedal, but it runs like crap.

any suggestions would be appreciated!

I would also sell the car if anyone wants it. It's in Indianapolis. check the classified on this site.
