They're completely different. The 2.6 has a very short snorkle and the opening in the front is different.
I would think that if you really want to fab something you should start by trying to open up the front with a dremel. I can't visualize how much, if any, room is available beyond the stock unit. If you want to get really fancy you could route the incoming air from elsewhere, but getting a larger tube to the air cleaner will be tough in that space. What about two smaller tubes? |
