The swap can be done..you'll need new springs as well for the rear. You'll also want to pull the pump and add the block of plate to cove the big hole in your engine;-)

If you are worried about the system holding up I'd recomend flushing the fluid every 2 years as well as cleaning the screen. In my cars I like to add the 123 SLS paper filter along w/ the screen, it's not a perfect fit but it at least Helps keep the fluid clean. I change the filter once a year.
